I am a citizen of this state who, like so many others, believe changes need to be made. A key change we need is the elimination of mandatory inspections for passenger vehicles. This policy does not only cause inconvenient and costly disruptions to our everyday lives, but its efficacy is often questionable. In many states across the U.S., there is no substantial data showing that these inspections reduce accidents or fatalities. Consequently, these inspections seem like an unnecessary burden with limited benefits. It's time that we reconsider the value of these mandatory inspections.  Cumberland County residents will still need to get a special sticker for their emissions tests as that is a whole other topic. We the people want a change. Please sign this petition to help us achieve this pivotal change. Lets get this back in discussion. p.s, when this was talked about on the news there were MANY comments from people saying how they want it gone. And of course those who dont want this change can always go to their prefered garage and still have it done.
