Eliminate 'I-Ready' From Our School System

The Issue

'I-Ready,' an online program used in schools for assessments and adaptive instruction, has become a source of contention. Although its intention is to enhance the learning process and cater to different educational needs, many students, parents, and educators perceive it otherwise. They believe it is not the most effective tool and may not adequately represent a student's capabilities. Moreover, it puts an unwarranted emphasis on screen time rather than traditional, debate-driven education.

Additionally, critics argue that 'I-Ready' eliminates the 'human factor' in education, which is crucial for the social development of our children. As per the American Academy of Pediatrics, extensive screen time can also lead to attention problems, school difficulties, sleep and eating disorders, and obesity. Therefore, we are calling for a reconsideration of the use of 'I-Ready' in our schools. It is critical to find or develop a more inclusive and comprehensive method for our children's education.

Schools should be a place of diverse learning experiences, not just online assessments. Please join this effort to prioritize the well-being of our students and the quality of their education. Sign this petition to eliminate 'I-Ready' from our school system. it also makes every one strested
