Millions of families across the nation, including my own, dutifully consume public water every day, trusting in its safety and purity. But we've been kept in the dark. The fluoride added to our drinking water is a pesticide - a fact that has been hidden from us for too long.

The warning labels on fluoride toothpaste explicitly caution against swallowing. And yet, unknowingly, we swallow fluoridated water daily. Our children, the most vulnerable members of our society, are particularly at risk. The National Research Council has highlighted several studies suggesting that fluoride can harm children’s intelligence. Moreover, the Harvard School of Public Health has stated that there is a link between fluoride and a significant impact on the cognitive development among children (Harvard School of Public Health, 2012).

We've seen a worrying rise in neuropsychological disorders like Autism, and research suggests a direct correlation with fluoride poisoning. The stakes are high - the futures of our children hang in the balance. We must take immediate steps to advocate for a healthier, safer tomorrow.
