As an avid movie and TV show enthusiast, I rely heavily on rating websites like Rotten Tomatoes to decide what to watch next. Over the past few years, I've noticed a growing disparity between the "Audience Scores" and the "Critic Scores" on the site. All too often, they are worlds apart, with the Critic Scores showing an inconsistency that makes them unreliable for avid viewers like myself.

My suspicion, which is shared by many, is that these scores are likely influenced unfairly through monetary considerations by Movie and TV Studios, thus undermining the credibility of a platform supposed to serve its audience with unbiased reviews. It is an alarming pattern that has made it difficult to trust these ratings and make informed entertainment choices. It's time we address this issue.

Since January 2010, Rotten Tomatoes has been owned by Flixster, which was in turn acquired by Warner Bros. in 2011.

In February 2016, Rotten Tomatoes and its parent site Flixster were sold to Comcast's Fandango ticketing company..

Warner Bros. retained a minority stake in the merged entities, including Fandango.

By eliminating the Critic Scores from Rotten Tomatoes, we will be taking a step towards making our entertainment choices more personal and more relevant to us, the audience.
