Eliminate all Confederate names for streets & buildings in Montgomery County, MD

Eliminate all Confederate names for streets & buildings in Montgomery County, MD
The Issue
We are calling on the County Executive and Planning Commission to rename all streets and buildings named after Confederate soldiers and generals in Montgomery County, MD.
This petition started as a call to the Montgomery County Council to rename Jubal Early Ct. in Potomac, MD, a street named after a vile white supremacist and Confederate general. This was the only public symbol of the Confederacy left in MoCo, according to the SPLC. We since have learned that there are at least two more streets named after the Confederacy in Potomac, MD (Jeb Stuart Rd and Jeb Stuart Ct). We are now hoping for a comprehensive review of ALL streets and buildings so we can rename ALL of them named after Confederate generals.
The Montgomery County Council has heard us and has created a letter calling for just that, addressed to the County Executive and to the Planning Commission.
The letter can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/CouncilmemberAndrewFriedson/posts/693676558098908
