I am a young 5th grader at McKinley Elementary In Wisconsin. As 5th graders who love sports we want a sport/sports teams for elementary schools. Here is some evidence.

They have better social skills. First, they meet friends and more people at the school. This can improve social skills and have your kid become better friends with other kids at the school. Also if your kid struggles with confidence they will learn self-confidence while playing sports. Say your kid is playing basketball and he misses. The other teammates can bring him up and keep going! Finally, it helps with bring other people up too. So your kid can be the reason that someone else had a good day.

Your kids get better fitness. They don't go on video games as much and they are out of the house having fun with their friends. they stay fit by running around. They also do not have to workout because they are running around.

Kids who play sports are proved to have better grades. On the site edutopia.org it states “ University of Kansas study looking at the performance of students 9 to 12 showed that more than 97% of student athletes graduated high school, 10% higher than those students who had never participated in sports” Also students have a smarter IQ if they play sports.
