Some of you may have heard that France will be DLC content for Battlefield 1.  The main reason for this, stated by DICE is that "France payed a major contribution to the war and deserve an add-on dedicated to them".  One thing that was also mentioned by DICE's Julien Wera while speaking about France is that “For Battlefield 1, DICE seeks to focus on the little-known stories of the Great War, to take players where they do not expect."  

         To this extent, I am petitioning that the FCM 1A heavy tank be added as a usable and playable vehicle into Battlefield 1.  The FCM 1A is a little-known and unique vehicle and would fit right into the focus of BF1.  It was constructed by the Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée (Also known as FCM) as a response to a request by Britain and the US for France to domestically build heavy tanks.  It's futuristic design impressed the officials (Keep in mind it was designed in 1916-1917).  The final prototype mounted the famous French 75 artillery gun in a rotating, 2-man turret, along with a Hotchkiss 8mm machinegun.

         The FCM 1A was well-documented and many specifications on it can be found.  I believe that this tank would make a great addition to Battlefield 1.  The It was an innovative design and heavily influenced the legendary Char 2C, and it deserves a spot in BF1.  If the FCM 1A is excluded, this piece of forgotten history will only continue to fade away.
