Through the year that has been 2020, we've had much time to reflect on the state of the fight for the most basic rights of liberty, freedom, and self-determination to be granted for nonhuman vertebrates, just like their human counterparts. This has only been exacerbated as we reflect on the tragic death of Regan Russell and the introduction of horrendous bill 156 being passed into law by the Ford government. When individuals advocating for the rights of those who have none cannot even safely document the criminal violence being committed, this demonstrates how this province is currently not a democracy for animals, and this needs to change - for those who live in the province of Ontario in the vegan community, we have formally begun the process of filing paperwork with elections Ontario for the creation of a provincial party that aims to transform animal-centric politics from being a single-issue platform to a whole encompassing philosophy and mainstream platform that addresses every aspect the provincial government touches. To register, we need to collect 1000 signatures from individuals in the province of Ontario who approve of our party's creation.
