After 46 years in business (35 years in their current location), West Point K-9 Academy is being forced to have another variance hearing to remain in business. On September 8th, 2015 the hearing was deferred for lack of a quorum to the shock of all. There were over a hundred supporters whom had cut short their vacations, and given up their personal time cutting through traffic to stand up for their friends Juan and Carol Vega. All were informed that it now would be heard on October 8th, 2015 with no additional reminders given to the community. West Point is not just a kennel, they are a family that had dedicated their lives to board, rehab train and save thousands of animals in need. West Point is one of the few locations where you can feel at ease when leaving your furry companion as their care is unlike any other.
