I've started this petition to begin the process of having Toronto Maple Leaf legend Wendel Clark elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Wendel was the embodiment of everything an NHL hockey player should be and set a bar that every player should strive for but few will achieve. People are going to say that he lacks this and lacks that number wise as far as games played and whatever other metrics. The fact of the matter is that lesser players have gotten in on the coat tails of others. What Wendel did, he did on his own with a grit and a passion that few players will ever achieve. If Wendel Clark is not worthy of being honored in the Hall of Fame, the Hall is not fulfilling it's commitment to honour the very best.
