Stop Workplace Violence in DC local Government
The Issue
Check out what the Washington Post had to say!..... https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/why-dc-has-a-uniquely-bad-record-on-helping-the-unemployed-get-jobs/2015/12/12/751d05ae-99d4-11e5-94f0-9eeaff906ef3_story.html
It is with a heavy heart that I am forced to publicly and openly call out the District of Columbia Department of Employment Services and especially the collective District 14 Local AFGE 1000 and the Executive Office of the Mayor( Muriel Bowser ) for allowing workplace violence to occur Furthermore, they have failed to address. Ms. Xzaquoinett Y. Warrick verbally abusive behavior and retaliatory style of management that is strongly documented and corroborated for over years. The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services failure to act responsibly, to prevent further occurrences, has emboldened Ms. Xzaquoinett Y. Warrick to escalate to physical threats and still NO RESPONSE. They ARE FULLY AWARE of her behavior!!! The incident of touching harassment and workplace violence abuse and intimidation and supporting witness statements were filed with the DC Metropolitan Police Department, Human Resources and the DC United State Supreme Court.
Continued efforts to cover up this incident by removing computers to remove email documentation . To attack the victim’s character and work ethic
we need better DC DPM regulations regarding workplace violence, harassment and safety in DC local Government. At the present moment, DC DPM regulation state that it's up to agency head to reassign or detail an employee.
If any employee feels for their safety, that employee should be transferred out it that situation. To ensure the integrity of the organizational operations
What if its an emergency that may threaten the safety of others?
Example:
I started to grieve violations of the DC DPM. When I did that I became a target to the extent of receiving threatening text messages, stating to bring harm to me and her personal property. I contacted the police and completed a incident report also filing for a protection order from the court house. I submitted that information to my HR Rep, and was told that the person threatening me will remain her supervisor. Yes, its a supervisor committing these unethical acts. Everyday i go to work terrified and fearing for my safety.
We have seen national situations like bullying that start like this and somehow go awry, because no one prevented it from happening. We don't want DC local government to become a remembrance site because no one stop the bullying and harassment.
Please join me in Calling Out the DC CITY COUNCIL, the Executive Office of the Mayor and the Department of Employment Services for their lack of leadership in protecting vulnerable, hard working staff while the "Political Machine" tells them to ignore this abuse and hopes it goes away!!!!
