Recently, the CA State auditor reported that El Cerrito was #7 on the list of CA cities that are at serious financial risk. In 2017 the auditor hired by the city expressed doubt that the city could keep running as a going concern. City Council and Financial Advisory Board meetings do not give citizens access to interactive feedback from city staff and city council. We are hereby requesting a town hall meeting as soon as possible after the holidays facilitated by a non-city employee. This will allow the citizens of El Cerrito to have their concerns addressed in a public forum.
