Too many teens who identify as LGBT+ do not have an LGBT+ friendly group/space available to them which would make them feel accepted, happy and included in school. As a gay student of 16 years, such a group was not and is to this day not made available to me in my education. (My school happens to be religious.) This petition exists to make certain that no matter the denomination of the high school an LGBT+ friendly group/space is made available to students who wish to access it. This will massively benefit the happiness and sense of inclusion LGBT+ students are often denied in their school, and will reduce the latent and damaging homophobia endured by some students.
