With the rise of Covid cases in universities around Pakistan, it is essential to close down the universities and other educational institutions before it does more damage. 

Students have contracted and some have even died but the management of educational institutions,  is not ready to take any action, to close or to even delay the exams of students. 

There are cases of Covid in Medical institutions where students are told to come and do the Proffs, even if they have the virus. The universities are blackmailing and harassing the students by signing the affidavit where it clearly states "University will not be held responsible if the student contracts the virus"

Meanwhile, SOP's in educational institutions is a joke. When a class or lab is happening where hundreds of students are present and no social distancing is being practiced , there is no point of wearing a mask. 

Despite all of this happening  on their campuses, Universities are untouchable because of the affidavits and on top of that they also harass students if they miss even a single class within a week. 

Students do not demand that education should be halted all together. 

The demands of students are simple: 

1 - Close down the educational institutions or delay the proff exams until the situation of Covid gets better. 

2 -  Classes should be held online. There should be a system of submitting assignments through an online portal. 

Government of Pakistan needs to understand this; "UNIVERSITIES ARE FORCING STUDENTS TO SIT IN EXAMS, EVEN THOSE WHO HAVE COVID" 

Universities have become the hub of Corona Virus and we request the health authorities and Prime Minister of Pakistan to take note of this and take strict action against this before more lives of students come at stake.
