The internationally recognized game developer miHoYo released the game Genshin Impact on 28. September 2020. A little less than a year later was the playable character Tartaglia (Childe) released. We as well as the almost 55 million other players immediately thought of Ed Sheeran upon seeing this new guy.

Blue eyes, red hair and pale skin are all traits that these two (Ed Sheeran and Tartaglia (Cilde)) share. There are also the more obvious ones like gender, and the way both men seem to be from Europe or somewhere heavily inspired by Europe. Now our request is not one born from nothingness but rather multiple compelling reasons:

- Their likeness, as described above.

- The simplicity of our request.

- The joy a deed like this could bring in a time where joy is much needed.

- The benefits for Ed Sheeran

Now I get that from a manager’s point of view this is more about business than it is about brining joy, so here we will go over the more business-oriented part of why this is something that should be done. First off, a Tartaglia (Childe) cosplay ordered from the internet doesn’t cost more than 100 USD on average, which for someone worth 210’000’000 USD (210 million) wouldn’t be too much to ask. There are also cheaper alternatives that cost around 30 USD, these can be found on sites like AliExpress.

Furthermore, if this happened Ed Sheeran would gain immense amounts of publicity. Genshin Impact currently has more than 85 million lifetime downloads worldwide, since mainly the American and European Genshin community are the ones who want to see this happen we could assume that a little more than 55 million players would be overjoyed, which is almost the same amount of people as the amount of monthly listeners ed Sheeran had in 2019.

In conclusion the benefits of Ed Sheeran cosplaying as Tartaglia (Childe) clearly outweigh the almost non existent drawbacks.
