The existing website https://voters.eci.gov.in/ which accepts Forms 6, 8, 6A, 6B, 7 is highly flawed in terms of accepting and processing applications.

Any form you submit any of the forms (which are auto-filled electronically) they never get processed. Major of the times after waiting for 2-3 weeks you see a blanket update like below

 

 

 

 

 

This gives no meaningful information to candidate applying

Further more there is no option to rectify and resubmit. Even if you try to resubmit any forms you get the error 

 

 

 

 

 

Reaching your grievance portal is also no use

The request get marked resolved within a day asking you to submit it to different constituency

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pain points

1) No rectify or resubmit options for forms

2) No re-open option for grievances, complaints raised

3) Appears the departments are only concerned with closing grievances with blanket statements &/or pushing the  citizen from one constituency to another with no one even looking at the forms submitted. (Perhaps some poorly configured algorithm reviewing the forms) 

Please make the above options available

It appears that the citizens are troubled after waits of weeks and months with no one to contact. Helplessly going to BLO because website is so horribly designed and helpline numbers don't work. This is in-spite of citizen following all your guidelines, procedures and protocols

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Election commission should be to empower the citizen who wishes to vote

Not penalize them for your poorly designed systems and failure to address concerns and grievances. As a troubled citizen, and unable to imagine the plight of senior citizen who get caught up in these loops I urge others to sign this petition if you have faced problems with the voters website like the screenshots above or below

The power of democracy lies with its voters. Do not handicap them with bad application of technology. Enable them with better system testing and proper systems. Let there be manual or human supervision so even if the algorithm is sending blanket updates like the one below in 24 hours someone is willing to help
