Remove Tad Yenawine, Chris Ellington, and Darcy Harris from the EPNC

Remove Tad Yenawine, Chris Ellington, and Darcy Harris from the EPNC
The Issue
This is a stakeholder petition for removal of Tad Yenawine, Chris Ellington, and Darcy Harris from the Echo Park Neighborhood Council. This is in response to a lynching image on Tad Yenawine’s porch, and the disturbing response on the part of the specified board members to the public outcry that followed.

Pursuant to EPNC Bylaws Section 9 subsection A, this stakeholder petition requires 50 stakeholder signatures before being submitted to the EPNC CIO and Secretary, at which point a vote on the specified board members’ removal will be agendized for the next board of governors meeting.
During the course of this incident, the specified board members violated some or all of the following sections of the EPNC Code of Conduct:
1. I will conduct myself in a professional and civil manner at all times as a representative of the EPNC.
2. I will treat each member of the board and members of the public with respect at all times, regardless of an individual's opinion, ethnicity, race,sexuality,age,disability/ability,gender, gender identity, and/or religion.
3. Even in the face of disagreement or differences of opinion, I will demonstrate esteem and deference for my colleagues and the public.
7. I will not use language that is abusive, threatening, obscene, or slanderous, including using profanities, insults, or other disparaging remarks or gestures
8. Derogatory language about an individual's Ethnicity, race, sexuality, age, disability, or religion is not acceptable
11. I will abide by the Neighborhood Council's meeting procedures or rules in order to create a safe and effective environment for conducting business (Chris Ellington interrupted a citizen during Public Comment)
19. I will support and acknowledge that the community deserves a rigorous public discussion, and understand that while civility and respect is critical to this process, I will respect and engage passionately with issues that matter to the community.
