eBay, through its membership of ALEC, has supported state and federal bills which suppress voter rights and undermine state consumer protections such as rate setting and the provision of universal services. eBay should support its users, not an extreme right-wing agenda, and stop funding efforts to suppress voter rights. 32 major corporations have left ALEC; it's time for eBay to respond to popular pressure and do the same.
(ALEC is the American Legislative Executive Council, an industry and mainly Republican legislator group that develops 'model legislation' in private sessions. Legislators then submit these ready-made bills for passage. Some of these bills further industry desires for special treatment, and some further the legislators' far-right-wing agenda.)
