Great work everyone! We will be delivering our petition to City Council and Interim City Manager Dave Solberg next week. We are currently awaiting a cost estimate from Renee Tyler, Director of Community Services, for restoring an ice rink to Mitscher Park. City Council will be having their first of two work sessions on the 2022 Eau Claire City budget Tuesday 10/5 at 5pm. https://www.eauclairewi.gov/government/public-notices-and-meetings/meetings There will be a number of City Council meetings through the months of October and November regarding the budget and our issue. I will alert you to the most important meetings to virtually attend. In order to be successful, we must virtually attend these meetings and let them know we want Mitscher Park flooded this winter. I am looking for a dozen people who are highly motivated and interested in helping forge a path forward regarding different options on how to proceed with reestablishing the Mitscher Park Ice Rink. I will need these individuals to be able to communicate as a group and to meet virtually at City meetings and speak out regarding the issue.
