Eastern Athletics has been through hardships and doesn’t have a leader that shares interest with student athletes or the future of school athletics and their programs. Many concerns for athletes safeties as our athletes has not haven bus provided to them for multiple games this season. Last Spring the current AD didn’t let eastern participate in their spring game due to the number of practices, when he knew early on the football team would not be able to participate. During basketball season the current AD didn’t provide a bus for the Basketball team so they lost a game and also lost film for college coaches to see. Eastern Cheerleaders also had to get to games by public bus or train due to the fact that there was not enough buses even though he knew the cheerleaders would need a bus. There are Frustrated Coaches across all sports with the AD, The Mishandling of Shaun Powell JR situation, Eastern Varsity sports can barely fill teams due to the fact of that they don’t believe in the Current Athletic Director. Eastern’s current Athletic Captains holds meetings to discuss the future of there programs and athletes and have came to a conclusion that the Athletic Director does not support the athletes or the sports in fact they believe he is against the athletic programs. It’s time to MAKE A CHANGE for the better of our ATHLETES and the SCHOOL.
