Dear Supporters,
Today is the final day to be heard.
At 5:00 PM today, February 26, the official record in the Gravel Pit Solar expansion case closes. After that, no new public comments can be submitted.
This is our last opportunity to tell the Connecticut Siting Council that expanding this industrial solar project onto additional farmland is not in the public interest.
Over the past months, you have stood with us to protect:
• Prime farmland
• Forest and wildlife habitat
• Residential neighborhoods and abutters
• Responsible siting of renewable energy
Today is the moment that matters most.
📧 Please send a brief email before 5PM:
siting.council@ct.gov
You can simply say:
“I oppose the expansion of the Gravel Pit Solar project. The cumulative environmental impact and loss of farmland outweigh the public benefit. Please deny this expansion.”
It does not need to be long. It just needs to be on the record.
⸻
Today is also the final day for official Intervenors to submit their Findings of Fact and Closing Briefs. Once submitted, the record is closed and the Council moves toward its final vote.
Every single comment submitted today becomes part of the official decision record.
Your voice matters.
Your email matters.
The record matters.
If you’ve been meaning to speak up — this is the moment.
Thank you for standing with East Windsor.
