Speak Up! 🗣️ CT Siting Council Public Hearing on Gravel Pit Solar Expansion – this Thursday October 9th @ 6:30pm!

Dear neighbors and supporters,

Have you been reading our updates and wondering how you can help before decision day comes in November!?

Here’s your chance to be heard and on the record! 

You can do the 3 minute comment session this Thursday October 9th at 6:30pm. If you want to speak you just need to register by Wed. Oct. 8th. You can also send an email to the Ct Siting Council. 


The Connecticut Siting Council has officially scheduled the public hearing for the Gravel Pit Solar expansion (Docket 492A). This project would add 30 more megawatts of solar panels across additional farmland in East Windsor, bringing the total to 150 megawatts—the largest of its kind in the state.

🗣️ How to Speak at the Hearing

If you wish to make a 3-minute statement during the 6:30 p.m. public session, you must sign up by midnight on October 8:

The expansion threatens prime farmland, wildlife habitat, and community safety, increasing risks of:

Runoff, flooding, and fire hazards
Loss of farmland essential to East Windsor’s agricultural identity
Visual and environmental impacts across Broad Brook and South Windsor
