The social club held at Waterview Lodge,  Driffield has run for over 10 years. Due to funding issues it is at risk of closure.

This social club allows adults with learning disabilities and additional needs to have a safe and secure venue to develop and maintain their friendships, independance, relationships, social skills and so much more.

My sister has been attending social club for years now and it benefits her in a way no other social outlet can. She feels confident, independent and safe in her surroundings. The social club has built strong friendships and relationships over the years and if this no longer existed some of these relationships would be lost with no hope of sustaining. 

Some members of social club have no other service and this is their only social interaction. In such a small community it is so important to keep social gatherings available especially to members who otherwise have little or no access to other options. Alot of members need assistance which means accessing cinemas, bowling, social groups out of town is not always an option.

I would love to see the social club remain open as it benefits so many people within such a small community.

I would like Eryc to continue to fund this service as they have done for over 10 years.

If we can not overturn their decision to close we will be left with no social club from January 2020.
