Dear EBRPD Board members,

We thank you for all the work you have done to preserve the land in its natural state while continuing public access to it.

We are contacting you about allowing Paragliding at the new-to-be Concord Hills park. This park and this activity would go very well together. The SW facing ridge of almost 4 miles in length will be a great airspace to Paraglide.

This activity needs very little in respect to land use. Trails to the top of the ridge, a couple of designated areas launching, and a couple of designated landing zones. Most of the activity will be in the air not using the land at all.

Even though Paragliding is not a common activity, the EBRPD already has a use agreement for it at the Mission Peak park. A similar type of Special Use Permit can be used at Concord Hills.

Here is a picture of the Blue Rock open space in Vallejo while being flown. Now, imagine this over Concord Hills. Would not this be a spectacular sight to see? Please consider this activity.
