The residents of Capital Heights worked hard in 2007-8 and changed the traffic patterns to make room for pedestrians and cyclists on it's signature street, but we need to make those new users safe. If you use Capital Heights Avenue and its adjacent streets to walk, jog, or bike and are tired of being treated like part of an obstacle course by fast drivers, please sign! The majority of Capital Heights Avenue property owners have signed an official petition and would like to show that there is additional support from residents of surrounding streets and neighborhoods, as well as non-residents, especially you bicycle commuters.
