Randy's Story,

 25 years ago Randy Vance was arrested and charged as an accomplice and given 901 months of incarceration

 Today, Randy is a different person who exemplifies true change and walks everyday as an example for others.  We the people, the family, friends loved ones and supporters ask that you stand with us and help us obtain ahis early release.  Recently, our legislature passed senate bill 6164 now codified as RC 36.27.130, Which allows the prosecutor to petition the court for felony resentencing if that person's sentence no longer advances the interest of justice.  Your signatures will be used to help us convince prosecutor Mary Robnett of Pierce Co to consider a reduction of his sentence. 901 months is extreme and no longer advances the continued incarceration for the person who has since reformed.  Randy has spent 25 yrs for his participation in the crime. there's no question punishment was owed but, 901 months is not the answer for an accomplice,. While he played a part in the crime  25 years is sufficient. The growing trend in todays society we the people don't recognize such harsh punishment in the face of a persons ability to change  Randy has made it a conscious effort to make these 25 yrs count. He chose to do the time,   not let the time do him. Randy has gotten his GED and is currently in business courses taking business management.. Randy strives to make everyday count, he mentors to his nieces and nephews on the danger of drugs and gangs and talks to them on how to handle the pressures of growing up. He has mentored to a couple of his relatives and has helped them more then he even realizes. He also mentors to the young men coming into the system which has been very rewarding to him. We as a family have had the pleasure of getting to spend praise and worship time with him at family worship at the prison, what a wonderful program.
