This is an incredibly challenging and unprecedented time.  We have all experienced loss due to the COVID19 pandemic.  We all want the best for our children and believe it is ideal if they are in school, with their peers and teachers.

We know remote learning will be very challenging for some students and families.  We also know we must significantly slow the spread of coronavirus before large groups of people can be indoors for any length of time.

We want to acknowledge that the district has spent considerable time and resources developing a plan that they believe works for the unprecedented circumstances we're in right now. It is clearly well thought out and takes into consideration the health and safety of our teachers, children and families. 

We want to thank our teachers - those who want to teach in person, those who want to teach remote, and those who are unsure.

We want to thank everyone in the Eanes ISD district for being flexible and quick to respond when life as we knew it shut down.

We support Eanes ISD.  We are grateful for the many hours given to identify solutions.  We will continue to contribute our time and money and rise to this challenge setting an example for our young people.

We are confident the district will respond appropriately as circumstances change.  It is reasonable to keep in-person classes small to protect that option for students who may have the hardest time with remote learning.  This is a community and we must think of everyone in our community going forward.

We don't always get to have a say in how things go. We don't always get our way. This is especially true in a pandemic, where concern for the welfare of our neighbors is so important.  

We support our district in this impossible task (and wear our masks!). In the process, we will show our children that they don't always get their way, life is often hard, there frequently are no good answers, but we just have to move forward to the best of our abilities.
