Local youth, primarily aged 8-18, need a safe, productive, and empowering place to bring their skateboards, scooters, and bikes to congregate and practice sweet skills. 

Preferred centralized location: Smith Ranch Park. Preferred style: Like Lehi’s.

The Ranches area of Eagle Mountain, continues to see a huge influx in construction and population growth.  As a result, local youth have taken to congregating on private property in church parking lots and outside local businesses (IE: Ridley's Market, Dominos Pizza, Subway, Revere Health, and Quench It). This creates a problem as management from these businesses regularly see the congregations as loitering and dangerous to customers entering and exiting the business because of skateboards and scooters and therefore request a timely exit from the area.  This communication is often not positive and repetitive.

Additionally, these groups of kids will often take their preferred vehicle and accidently put themselves in harms way as cars and traffic frequent these parking lots.

Creating a positive and safe place for these children to go will help reduce vandalism, property damage, and allow for more positive interaction with adults and the target age group.
