1. Parkway has four six-lane pools (none up to current code), one at each high school with limited or ZERO seating.
2. The average age of our pools is fifty years and they are all in horrible repair.  Leaking, breaking and dangerous (not exaggerating).
3. Neighboring districts Rockwood, Lindbergh, Ladue, Kirkwood & Pattonville have eight-lane pools with seating for at least two hundred and fifty, with the exception of Eureka High school.   How can our schools rank against our neighbors if our facilities are inferior? AND  How will our property values be impacted?
4. The size of our current pools is not adequate for water polo, which requires an eight-lane pool for competitive events.  
5. Each pool is used more than forty hours per week for non-educational/PE classes. 
6. A single district pool requires all athletes and fans (including fellow students and school staff) to find transportation to/from all competitions, decreasing the sense of community and school pride. THERE WILL BE NO "HOME" pool for athletes.
7. A single district pool will also create transportation challenges for families at the end of practices and/or games if they have athletes practicing or competing at multiple locations.
8. All proposed locations for the DISTRICT POOL are at middle schools - no high school students will be able to use it for PE curriculum.  
9. Other sports, like football, volleyball, baseball, basketball, etc., have their own adequate facilities on campus. Our aquatic athletes deserve this too.

11. We NEED four new pools (one at each high school), and we need your help convincing the School Board to do so. The more signatures we get, the more they will listen. Please add your name to this petition.
