I’ve made this petition to try and get the people that were meant to have their tests in November/ 1st December re booked to have the first slots when the country comes out of lockdown. It is not fair that people who only had a couple of weeks/ a month until their test are now having to wait 4 months for another test. 

It isn’t our fault that the driving tests were cancelled and everyone is feeling frustrated and ultimately let down as we had hope that everyone would be pushed back... not just us. I understand that it was the easiest thing for the DVLA to do as it meant that they weren’t having to re arrange everyone’s. But ultimately the ethical and fair thing to do would have been pushing everyone back and giving everyone a new test date which ultimately would be pushed back a month as that was the amount of time that was disrupted.

This petition probably won’t end up going anywhere or solving anything but I hope that it would be able to show the DVLA how many people are disappointed by the tests being re booked in 4 months time. We waited long enough in long ques behind tens of thousands of people to get those test dates. It isn’t fair that we are being made to wait an additional 4 months. All I am asking is for DVLA to consider alternative options to give everyone who had cancelled tests a fairer shot at the dates when the country re opens.
