The National State of Disaster is at Level 1 and we see no need for the institution to not hold a graduation ceremony. This will be the third year the institution decides not to have a graduation ceremony. Students and their parents/guests will wear masks. Students worked very hard to obtain their qualifications especially through the covid times and the online learning times. Students deserve a chance to walk on the stage and celebrate their graduation.

The institution can atleast limit students to bring 2 guests per student rather than not to have the ceremony at all. Parents deserve to see their children walk down the stage and take memorable pictures. Its every student’s dream to attend a great graduation ceremony and celebrate their achievement. Durban University Of Technology is depriving students of that. Please help us stop this and have Durban University Of Technology to host a graduation ceremony. All Covid protocols will be followed.
