To the Victorian State Government,

We, the undersigned residents of Delahey and surrounding communities, call on the Victorian Government to urgently fund and deliver the duplication and upgrade of Taylors Road.

Taylors Road is a vital transport corridor that serves thousands of daily commuters, including families, students, and workers across Melbourne’s west and northern suburbs. However, the current road infrastructure is no longer fit for purpose.

Residents experience:

Severe daily congestion, particularly during peak hours; Increased travel times affecting work, education, and family life; Ongoing safety concerns due to traffic volume and road conditions.

Despite continued advocacy from Brimbank City Council, there is currently no confirmed State Government funding or timeline for this essential project.

We call on the Victorian Government to:

-Commit funding for the duplication of Taylors Road;

-Provide a clear and transparent timeline for delivery;

-Implement immediate interim safety and traffic management measures.

Melbourne’s west is one of the fastest-growing regions in the state. Our infrastructure must keep pace.

We urge the Government to act now.
