Dudley council should supply all residents with free food caddy bin liners
The Issue
In 2026 Dudley Council introduced food waste bins as part of its waste management provision.
Aroll of biodegradable caddy bags was provided with them, however Dudley Council do not re supply these and expect residents to buy these from commercial outlets unlike other Councils.
A Dudley Council has raised Council Tax but the maximum allowed this year, we are calling on the Council to supply these to residents at NO EXTRA CHARGE (free) via the MyDudley Portal or collect from local venues.
As well as the economic reasons there are also significant public health reasons for promoting the use of food caddy’s bin liners.
