Cape Cod DJ Duane (Alvzie) Alves was attacked by a group of drunk, off-duty police officers while he was working in Hyannis.  The success of this petition will result in holding the Barnstable Police Department and the Barnstable DA's office accountable for protecting from prosecution, the main attacker, DEA Agent John Daly.

Mr. Alves, who had recovered Agent Daly's cell phone during the attack, provided that cell phone to the Barnstable police. Barnstable confirmed that the phone belonged to Agent Daly; however Daly's photo was kept out of the photo lineup shown to Mr. Alves so that he could identify his attackers. The failure to charge Agent Daly with a crime, given the overwhelming evidence implicating him, requires independent oversight.
