I am thankful and overwhelmed with the tremendous support extended by all of you on my petition. Over 300 people have tweeted to Ministry of Human Resource and Development also we are at 84 k signatures.
To the relief of parents, Badshahpur MLA, Mr. Rakesh has clarified that private schools have to waive off (and not defer) every component of the fee except the tuition fee for the period of the lockdown. He also stated that during the investigation it is being found that several schools issued fee restructuring letters stating 'not waived but deferred'. (Check the news paper clipping attached above in this update). He clearly stated that govt's intention is waiver since it doesn't want to burden the parents who are already facing unemployment and pay cuts.
I and other 84 k parents are asking the govt. to set it as a directive for all the schools across India.
Also, yesterday a journalist reached out to me to listen and convey about what we all parents have to say about the current situation of fee issue.
