Andrea Velez is a U.S. citizen.

She was heading to work when ICE agents tackled her to the ground during a chaotic immigration raid in Los Angeles. She wasn't the target. She didn’t resist. Yet now she faces federal charges.

Andrea’s family saw everything. Her sister recorded the arrest, crying out, “That’s my sister. She’s a U.S. citizen!” Andrea was shoved into an unmarked car. No one explained why.

Federal officials claim she “obstructed” an officer, but her only act was raising her arm in confusion during the chaos. That moment is now being twisted into a felony charge.

Andrea has never been in trouble with the law. She's a Cal Poly graduate, a marketing designer, a daughter, and a sister. She was treated roughly, detained without cause, and now faces a charge that could destroy her life.

This is not justice. It’s abuse of power.

We demand that all charges against Andrea Velez be dropped immediately.

No one should be afraid to walk to work. No one should be falsely accused to cover up the excessive force of an ICE raid.
