Drop Charges Against Robbery Victim GloRilla

Drop Charges Against Robbery Victim GloRilla
The Issue
Rapper GloRilla was the victim of a crime. Her home in Forsyth County, Georgia, was broken into while she wasn’t there. But instead of only focusing on catching the people who robbed her, deputies arrested her.
Why? Because while investigating the burglary, they found marijuana in her bedroom closet—inside her own private home. Now she’s facing drug charges even though she was the one being targeted and wasn’t present when the break-in occurred.
This isn’t justice. It’s overreach.
GloRilla has already turned herself in and posted bond. But the Forsyth County District Attorney still has a chance to do the right thing—by dropping the charges and refusing to punish victims of crime for minor cannabis possession.
This case is part of a bigger pattern of injustice: people, especially Black women and artists, being criminalized instead of protected. Marijuana is legal in many parts of the country, and no one should face jail time over small amounts—especially not after being robbed.
Sign this petition to demand Forsyth County drop the charges against GloRilla and stop criminalizing people for cannabis in the middle of real trauma.
