There are many schools in our area, in our country, and even our own world with very strict dress codes. I am advocating dress codes because I want students to be comfortable in what they are wearing and how they should feel about themselves with wearing the clothes that the district provides them or what they tell them to wear from home. 

First before we get into dress codes we should ask what are dress codes. Dress codes are a set of rules of what students need to wear like school uniforms and types of shirts and pants. 

Dress codes can affect students because when students wear uniforms it can affect their learning by not focusing and it restricts students freedom of expression. 

There are many problems in dress codes because having students not wear what's comfortable to them can make them be more self-conscious about themselves. also it can be a problem for girls because boys are allowed to wear clothes that girls are not allowed to wear.          

If you sign my petition we can all make dress codes less strict.
