The 49ers are at a crossroads, they've been bold in acquiring an opportunity to shape the identity of the franchise for the next 10 years.   All speculation has them wasting this incredible opportunity by drafting Mac Jones, an uninspiring quarterback from the University of Alabama who at best has the potential to be on par with their current QB.

We've all been sold on the genius of Kyle Shanahan and competence of John Lynch,  are we to have a Wizard of Oz type moment where we all find out we've been deceived all along?  Let's hope not. 

The NFL is still a business, and, in this business; coaches and GMs still answer to ownership,  this petition calls on the York family to intervene in the event that Shanahan and Lynch indeed intend to draft Jones. To save the franchise the embarrassment,  and guarantee of failure that would come with such an egregious mistake.  

Preventing the 49ers from making a catastrophic mistake that will lead to a decade of mediocrity and suffering is still possible, it may take courage and may even sour some current relationships,  but the fans can't endure another decade like the 2000's, and this team with a better quarterback is in a super bowl window,  please York family keep that window open at all costs.
