Today, the district heard an appeal to its original decision regarding this petition. The entire hearing can be heard here:
In a decision to be submitted within the next 10 business days, the district has pledged to answer the following questions:
1. Through the district’s recent action (and inaction), it is clear that the district believes any principal or other employee who facilitates a presentation to Pre-K students about sexuality (including homosexuality) is acting appropriately and should not be discouraged in any way. Am I mistaken?
2. Through the district’s recent action (and inaction), it is clear that the district is entirely uninterested in whether its principals or employees believe it is appropriate to expose elementary-school students to content promoting child transgenderism, child sexual activity, and killing police officers – even when the district has been made aware of such views from a principal by parents who have had conversations with her. Am I mistaken?
3. Why does the district refuse to acknowledge a principal's unusual policy (in the first years of her service as principal) to block parent volunteers from accessing the library? Does that policy not strike the district as relevant to its investigation about how she is exposing young students to inappropriate content? Does it not strike you that this may represent an attempt by the principal to hide her controversial ways from parents?
We eagerly await the district's answers.
