DR Horton to replace front island trees when dead. Waterside at Todd Creek, Thornton CO.
The Issue
By DR Horton not replacing deceased trees, planted by the builder throughout the neighborhood along the front yard islands, the neighborhood is subject to becoming aesthetically displeasing, thereby decreasing home value and neighborhood curb appeal. Given the homeowners are unable to afford the high cost of the large trees planted by DR Horton, the homeowners will be planting significantly smaller trees, thus decreasing aesthetic of neighborhood. Moreover, failure to do so will take away from the cohesive flow which is presently seen. Home buyers will be less attracted to the neighborhood as they see a lack of upkeep and cohesion. The island trees align entire neighborhood, just as they do main entryway, thus further reason to ensure integrity, and replace as needed. Moreover, not homeowners fault said trees have deceased within 1-2 years.
