Over the last four years the Blue Mt. football team has had several lack luster seasons with very underwhelming results. As pointed out by the media, this was not without lack of talent. For teams that produced stellar records at the junior high level once the kids reach the varsity level, the success has not continued finishing only 4-17 in the division in the last 4 years. Year after year the Blue Mt. football team has been plagued with penalties, a non-productive offense, lack of organization and leadership and players leaving for other school districts.  As one of the largest schools in Schuylkill County, Blue Mt. should be favored to compete for the top of the league year after year. The Blue Mt. school district has a reputation for excelling at academics. To attract and retain quality families to our district, this standard of excellence needs to carry over to the athletic programs. The keystone of an athletic program in the state of Pennsylvania is football. To improve the overall value of the district the football team needs leadership that is willing to put the time in to develop and foster a winning culture. We ask that you consider opening the position of head football coach to start this change.
