Provision of Urban Amenities to Rural Areas (PURA) is a strategy for rural development in India. This concept was given by former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and discussed in his book Target 3 Billion which he co-authored with Srijan Pal Singh. This concept can be implemented to cure entire rural population from Covid19 treat. This has been implemented by Meenakshi Mission Hospital way back in 2010 with the support of various Donors. This was inagurated by Dr. APJ Abdul kalam at Meenakshi Mission PURA, Thonugal Village, Virudhunagar on May 19 2010 where treatment has been given by specialized doctors to the rural poors through Telemedicine. Patients can interact with doctors through high sensor computer systems and assisted by Trained nurse at the village level. All basis test like body temperature, blood pressure etc will be taken care by this trained staff locally. Only in case of necessity they will be moved to nearby town/city hospitals. The local staff also provide the basic medicine as advised by the doctor.
