To the Honorable Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment of India,

Panther Ramdas Athawale Sir

Subject: Request to Establish the “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum” near Columbia University, New York, United States of America

Dear Athawale Sir,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you on behalf of the Ambedkarite Columbia students and numerous supporters of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's profound legacy. We are expressing our earnest desire and strong recommendation for the establishment of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum near Columbia University in New York City, United States of America.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, an iconic figure in India's struggle for social justice and architect of our Constitution, made significant contributions to academia during his time at Columbia University. His pursuit of knowledge and exposure to global perspectives at Columbia played a crucial role in shaping his vision for a just and inclusive society.

Recognizing the profound impact Dr. Ambedkar had during his time at Columbia University, we believe that establishing a museum dedicated to his life and work near the prestigious institution would serve as a fitting tribute to his enduring legacy. The museum would not only serve as a symbol of our gratitude for his contributions but also act as a beacon of inspiration for current and future generations of students.

We are aware of the Maharashtra government's and your commendable efforts in establishing the Ambedkar Museum in London, which stands as a testament to your commitment to preserving Dr. Ambedkar's memory. We believe it is equally important to have a museum near Columbia University to ensure that his legacy resonates not only within India but also on the global stage.

The Ambedkarite Columbia students are eager to extend our wholehearted support and assistance in setting up the museum. We are ready to collaborate with the concerned authorities, contribute our time, skills, and resources, and actively engage in fundraising initiatives to bring this project to fruition. Additionally, we are confident that the Indian diaspora in the United States, Ambedkarite organizations, and individuals passionate about social justice will rally behind this cause.

We kindly request your intervention and support in pursuing this endeavor. Your influence and authority in the Ministry of Social Justice positions you as a key advocate for social equality and the preservation of our cultural heritage. Your endorsement of this project will help garner the necessary support and resources required for its successful implementation.

We eagerly anticipate your positive response and the opportunity to discuss this matter further. We are confident that together, we can make the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum near Columbia University a reality, honoring the indelible contributions of Dr. Ambedkar and inspiring generations to come.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your favorable response.
