Bring back the bike carriage to the Belair train line on weekends!!

The issue

The Adelaide Mountain Biking scene is ever growing, which means more bikes. Each weekend, the trains are packed with downhill mountain bikes and riders ready to take on what the belair hills have to offer.

Bikes brought onto the train are often packed against each other, causing shuttle damage or creating inconvenience to weekend commuters. Each carriage is only technically allowed 4 bikes, yet there are usually 10+ in each carriage.

We need the dedicated bike carriages brought back, with racks down one side and seats on the other. This will allow us as mountain bikers to put our bikes in the same carriage without disruption to any other person(s) on the train.

Our aim is to re-use the old 2000 series bike train carriages to help provide more spaces for riders. We want to see Adelaide as an International destination for mountain bikers - thus requiring more attention to the needs of the riding community.

The most popular times to ride are on the weekends, so the extra carriage should be added to convenience the riding community and potentially assist with building the riding community and expanding the riding scene in Adelaide, South Australia!

Let's work together and make this happen!
