Downers North is definitely not Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. I learned that the hard way. My first day of my freshman year at the school was what I wanted, a good environment for learning and nice kids, but I was mislead. During the winter at North I saw the other face of North which was not what I knew. All the kids there were judgmental on how they saw things and for me they thought I was weird and annoying, I have Autism. But they hadn't known that but, when I told them they thought I was mentally disabled or they didn't believe me. I had to deal with a whole year of that and I really don't want anyone having the same experience as me. Im even thinking of switching schools but, the school won't let me. Thats why Im doing this. I really think kids don't know what its like to have a disability so, If we get this petition signed then we could have kid learn about these kinds of disabilities and not be so judgmental and look down upon these kinds of kids. I would really appreciate if you took the time to sign this and hey maybe post this on a social media site or tell a friend.
