Texas state Medicaid law currently has 3 income levels.  These income levels for people who have no job and are trying to get one leaves people floundering because of near immediate cancellation of benefits.  I would like to change the law to allow for a 120 day grace period, regardless of new income level, to allow the ability settle into a job and pay for other health care before denying services to those attempting to find work and get off of welfare services.  In the long run this support could lead to people able to get off of welfare services and provides support while they attempt to do so.
