Official Presidential Apology for Wounded Warrior Jason Blaha

Jason Blaha is a popular YouTube celebrity who inspires his viewers to strive for their fitness goals so that they may have a physique to be proud of, just like him. A paragon of hard work and intestinal fortitude, Jason is a veteran of the iron game. For those of us fortunate enough to witness it, Jason’s battles with the weights are an awe-inspiring spectacle. However, Jason is also a veteran of a different, much darker game, and those who have played it are often left battling something not so visible to outsiders. Having courageously opened up about his struggles with PTSD numerous times now, Jason’s story is a reminder that the scars of war can remain long after the guns are silenced and the battlefields are abandoned. For some, the war still wages daily, and they are left struggling without the support networks they need to recover fully. We believe that it is important for Jason to know that not only the online fitness community, but the nation as a whole, supports him and would like to thank him for his service. We share his harrowing story because Jason represents an unknown minority. A minority left to carry the physical and mental wounds of war, yet denied the valor rightfully bestowed upon our uniformed servicemen and women.

An intellectually and athletically gifted child, Jason was an unusually proficient long-distance shooter, having learned the craft from his father — a special forces veteran. It was this talent which led him to fall under the predatory gaze of the CIA, who indoctrinated him into the murky world of clandestine operations and mercenary work before he had even finished high school. After completing his training at The Farm, Jason was tasked with assassinating various enemies of the Clinton administration across Central and South America, before being shipped off to the Middle East to capture hardened fighters for interrogation. Jason carried out his duties with the utmost courage and professionalism, yet when the atrocities he’d witnessed became too much for the young man to bear, he was ruthlessly cast aside by the CIA and warned that if he ever dared speak about his service, he would spend the rest of his life in prison. After many years trapped in his own internal prison, Jason did dare to speak out, and we are thankful that he did. The CIA memorial wall at Langley is adorned with stars representing men and women who gave their life during service, and we must never forget that they paid the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation. Nor must we forget the sacrifices of those like Jason who answered the call of duty only to face betrayal. In solidarity we find hope, and we respectfully ask those of you reading this to sign our petition calling for President Trump to officially apologize to Jason Blaha and thank him for his service to his country. Be vocal in your condemnation of the CIA’s actions. Be resolute in preserving the valor of our heroic warriors. And be relentless in the struggle to bring justice to Jason Blaha. The poppies of Flanders Fields arose from the darkest depths of human misery with the promise that life can once again be beautiful. Let us never forget the story they tell. Let peace have the ultimate victory.
