The United States Attorney General is the head of the United States Department of Justice and the chief law enforcement officer of the United States Government. The Attorney General is tasked with prosecuting and conducting suits in the Supreme Court and giving advice and opinion on questions of law. This position requires a principled man or woman of tremendous character, honesty, and integrity, with tremendous knowledge of the law, as well as exceptional passion and commitment both to justice and to the Constitution of the United States.

Trey Gowdy is such an individual. He stands with principle and conviction on the blind justice of the law (irrespective of political party), and his honesty and integrity make him a perfect candidate for Attorney General. I know that he will faithfully serve this nation in his unyielding pursuit of justice, and he will never compromise or give in to partisan politics.

President-elect Trump, please appoint Representative Gowdy as Attorney General of the United States. He has in the past, and will continue, to serve this country faithfully in the pursuit of justice.
