My friend Anthony Echemendia and his girlfriend Lily Restum were in Katy, Texas at Typhoon Waterpark. Lily got lost from Anthony and when she found him, they were approached by 3 police officers who proceeded to accuse Anthony of beating Lily up. The white manager saw an interracial couple (Lily and Anthony) and thought something violent was happening between them. The cops then proceeded to have Lily accuse Anthony of hurting her and wanted her to lie because Anthony was born in Cuba, then moved to the United States of America. The cops then separated Lily and Anthony from their group while they were still in the park and making a huge seen at the same time. They made Lily, Anthony and the family of 5 young kids and their father leave the park. The cops were following them around the park while they look for their bags so they could leave. This is why our country is so divided in today's society. Anthony, Lily and myself consider this horrible incident as racial profiling. If Anthony wasn't from Cuba and looked the way he does, Lily and Anthony wouldn't have had gone through this traumatic experience. This injustice that Lily and Anthony had to go through is absolutely disgusting and needs to be dealt with, especially in today's society. PLEASE RETWEET THIS PETITION!!
